LAS Engineering Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.,a multidisciplinary engineering company was established by Mr. L.J. Tawari at a time when only multi-national project consultants were operating in the India with very limited options for engineering consultants. Mr. L.J. Tawari, a Mechanical Graduate from BITS, Pillani, with his technical training from BARC, detailed engineering experience from UHDE and project management and execution at Ciba Geigy, incepted LAS with the sole purpose of making it a single point services center for all project needs. Mr. Santosh Tawari, CEO & Director (B.Tech. from IIT, Bombay & M.S. from Cornell University, USA) joined LAS in 2001.
During inception of LAS, the process know how for the industry was mostly acquired from abroad. This not only increased the cost but also were proved to be less efficient. LAS identified this gap at an early stage and addressed it by developing an inhouse team of experts. The company since then has been instrumental in assisting clients scale up their in-house research to a full scale working plants. “We work closely with client, understand the data generated by them. We help them select right equipment, size them correctly and scale up for commercial production,” speaks Santosh.
