Our group has set up a unique CETP, Enviro Technology Limited at Ankleshwar for Small Scale Industries in 1996-97. Authorities and representative of World Bank realized the importance of Hazardous Waste Management and suggested Ashok Panjwani to take up a common TSDF Project at Ankleswar. 18 Acres of land was allotted by GIDC and with the support of NPC and German Experts the Project was initiated. Site specific EIA Studies and Public Consultation were carried out. Majority of Equity for setting up the facility was sourced from major member industries and the major contributor was Shroff Family. The Landfill operation started in 1998 and so far, approximately 35 Lakh MT of Solid and Hazardous Waste have been treated and disposed off in the Landfill. The company got additional 50 Acres of land from GIDC and now the total Area of Site is 68 Acres. The company setup a Common Incineration System in 2005 to treat organic waste. During the last 15 years we have Incinerated about 2.8 Lakh MT. BEIL has added all required Infrastructure components for an Integrated Hazardous Waste Management Facility like Stabilization System, MEE System, Laboratory, Plastic Processing plant, E-waste Dismentaling, Recycling, and more. BEIL have implemented Environmental Management Standards ISO 14001, Occuppation Health and safety Standards ISO 45000. Our Laboratories are
