West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and other prominent industrialists attended the summit's opening ceremony, which is the state government's biggest industrial event.
Ambani also stated at the occasion that Reliance will do all possible to expedite West Bengal's growth and discussed the company's intentions for future investments in the state. "The Reliance Foundation has embarked on an ambitious project to renovate and restore Kolkata's Kalighat temple." "We are repairing the entire temple complex, including the centuries-old heritage structures," he continued.
He also praised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, referring to her as 'Agnikanya,' after the late (former Prime Minister) Atal Bihari Vajpayee. "The 'agni' of struggle and sacrifice has made you and your golden character shine brighter, and now you are making 'Shonar Bangla' shine brighter," Mukesh Ambani remarked during the Bengal Global Business Summit 2023.
To attract investment in the state, the conference brings together numerous stakeholders, including corporate executives. The festival is held at three significant landmarks: the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, and the Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium.
