By Consultants Review Team Monday, 16 October 2023

As India’s largest public sector lender, State Bank Of India (SBI) has made a significant statement regarding its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services.

With this, customers might see sporadic fluctuations in the bank's UPI Services as a result of technology upgrades, according to the bank. Without going into specifics, SBI has stated that it will notify clients as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, SBI has launched a 'Mobile Handheld Device' service for its customers, providing them with financial access right at their door.

The Mobile Handheld Device will initially provide five main banking services, including cash withdrawal, cash deposit, money transfer, balance enquiry, and mini statement, accounting for more than 75% of transactions done at SBI CSP sites.

Furthermore, the bank plans to expand its product offerings in the near future by including services such as social security system enrollment, account opening, remittance, and card-based services.
