In preparation for the release of its Humane Artificial Intelligence (AI) Pin gadget, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's funded firm, Humane, has begun negotiations with Indian cellular carriers. Former Apple executives Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri established Humane in 2017. It collected about $200 million from investors, which included Qualcomm Ventures, Microsoft, and Sam Altman of OpenAI.

The business is currently planning to introduce its AI Pin in India, with T-Mobile acting as its launch partner in the US market. Notably, it has also signed an agreement with South Korean carrier SK Telecom to reveal plans for its first worldwide expansion.

Users may power as many AI-powered inquiries as they like with an unlimited data plan and phone number for $699, with a $24 monthly recurring subscription.

The AI Pin is a small, secure device that may be attached to clothing or other items. It provides users with a variety of AI services, including search, translation, navigation, and more, by combining gesture, touch, and voice inputs.

The AI Pin sets itself apart from conventional consumer electronics items by enabling voice and laser ink connection with an AI chatbot. One such application is in the medical area, where we are working with partners to utilize it for diagnosis utilizing the contextual computing capacity, Chaudhari said, giving the medical industry as an example. Chaudhari also cited continuing cooperation with partners to investigate other use cases, as reported.
