Grok, Elon Musk's chatbot, will get an upgrade, the artificial intelligence firm xAI. According to a statement from xAI, early testers and current Grok users will have access to the new version, dubbed Grok-1.5, on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter, in the coming days.

According to the firm, the new version's performance in coding and math-related jobs is one of the most noticeable enhancements. In an effort to develop a "maximum truth-seeking AI," Musk introduced xAI last year as a rival to Alphabet's Google and Microsoft-backed OpenAI.

"One of the most notable improvements in Grok-1.5 is its performance in coding and math-related tasks," the statement said. This increase comes from strengthening the reasoning and problem-solving skills of the model.

Early in November, xAI introduced Grok as its main product. Major investor in OpenAI, Elon Musk, stated that the world needs an alternative AI option to Google and Microsoft. Days before, Musk declared that Grok will be available to all X premium subscribers this week, xAI made its announcement.

In order to assist xAI, which was formed last year, get off the ground, Musk has used the two firms' shared data, technology, and financial backers. X is hoping to use AI to turn around its company and make its platform into a "everything app."

The business launched Grok for X Premium+ users in December. Days after the billionaire filed a lawsuit against OpenAI for allegedly abandoning its initial goal in favor of a for-profit business model, Musk said earlier this month that xAI will open-source Grok
