With my performance in these areas and interest and involvement in Quality initiatives, I was hand picked to implement Quality Systems in Tata Steel Mines Division Head Quarters Noamundi. However it was only after successfully implementing and achieving the Quality System Certificate, I realized the industrial gap. I requested a transfer from Mines to City Jamshedpur or Kolkata but that didn’t happen. This was the time my wife said why not we be on our own and start a Quality Systems, Consulting and Training firm based on my hands-on experience in implementation,” says Srinivas Rao, Founder and CEO, RTQMS.
Started with ISO 9001, in the first year itself RTQMS provided services to about eight companies of Medium and Large size which were successfully ISO certified. Along with consultancy and training services, RTQMS also specializes in Integrated Management Systems (IMS). In addition to ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000, ISO 50001, TS 16949, AS9100, RTQMS has expanded to Management Systems in Environment, Cement Plant, Power plants, Ferro Alloys, Chemicals, Pharmacy, Oil & Gas, Fertilisers, OHS, Food Safety, Energy Management Systems (EnMS), Aerospace, Automobile, and many more along with NABL
accreditation.
Talking about the unique offerings of the firm, Srinivas states, “We don’t focus just on ISO requirements, we also guide organizations in establishing management systems, customizing to customer requirements. We guide on establishing Processes Management, Core and Support, establishing PIs and KPIs at various functional levels. Based on these, targets can be set linking to the strategic goals of an organization. Emphasizing on these KPIs and Target, we establish a performance review model through a dashboard based on KPIs. We also use ISO & QMS to establish a model that can manage Business Processes of an organization effectively.”

Apart from it, we want to strengthen our expertise in NABL Accreditation, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Business Excellence Models.” he concludes.
