The World Economic Forum (WEF) has named Hyderabadi edtech firm NxtWave a Tech Pioneer 2024. This adds NxtWave to the exclusive list of international innovators recognized by the WEF for their contributions to education and technology.
Alongside well-known brands like Google, Twitter, and Spotify from prior cohorts, the edtech firm, which was created by graduates of IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and IIIT Hyderabad, has now become one of just 10 businesses nationally to win this honor.
"NxtWave's commitment to revolutionizing education technology is highlighted by this accolade. "NxtWave has made tech learning accessible for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by offering AI-powered, local language coding courses. This has helped unemployed people find jobs and learn new skills," stated Rahul Attuluri, CEO of NxtWave.
"I am deeply honored to have received this World Economic Forum recognition." It supports our goal of ensuring that everyone, from all backgrounds, can access tech education. We are excited to go on our path and have a significant influence now that we are a part of the World Economic Forum's Center for the New Economy and Society," he continued.
The most promising start-ups and scale-ups in the world at the forefront of business model and technology innovation are part of the Innovator Communities. The Innovator Communities, which consist of three sub-communities—the Technology Pioneers, Global Innovators, and Unicorns—assist start-ups on their path to expansion.
The World Economic Forum gives the sub-communities a forum to interact with leaders in the public and business sectors, offer fresh perspectives on resolving present issues, and develop resilience for the future.
