Hours after Subha Tatavarti quit as chief technology officer (CTO) to seek possibilities outside the nation's fourth-largest IT business, Wipro named Sandhya Arun as CTO with immediate effect, according to an internal email.
According to the email, Arun, who has held a number of executive roles at Wipro over the previous eight years, has played a key role in advancing technical innovation, spearheading digital transformation, and establishing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI).
She will answer to Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Hari Shetty in her new position. Up to the deadline, Wipro had not responded to any email inquiries.
According to the firm, Arun was one of the first leaders of Wipro Digital, and her strategic alliances played a critical role in advancing customers' digital transformation initiatives. According to the statement, Sandhya "displayed exceptional leadership in enhancing Wipro's AI capabilities, ensuring client success, and fostering organizational growth" in her most recent role as Vice-President and AI Transformation Strategist.
According to the organization, over her 30-year career, she has demonstrated adaptability by taking on a variety of jobs in fields including marketing, cloud and engineering transformation, technology consulting, and digital commerce.
The company declared that in the third quarter of this fiscal year, Nanda will step down as COO of Americas One and be replaced by Dilip Dialani, who has almost twenty years of Wipro experience. Additionally, it strengthened Aathir Ahad's position as chief information security officer.
Concurrently, senior executive Ajit Mahale, who joined Wipro during the tenure of former CEO Thierry Delaporte, made the decision to leave the company.
