By Consultants Review Team Thursday, 22 February 2024

According to a release on Thursday, HCL Technologies (HCLTech) is extending a long-standing partnership with Intel Foundry to jointly develop customized silicon solutions for semiconductor producers, system OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and cloud service providers to improve foundry services. Through this agreement, a new age of innovation and excellence is ushered in by combining the superior technology and manufacturing capabilities of Intel Foundry with the design experience of HCLTech to create a robust and diverse supply chain.

According to the statement, the partnership intends to address the rising demand for semiconductor production globally and satisfy customers' varied silicon demands by giving them access to a strong and welcoming environment for semiconductor sourcing.

"Our delivery of creative, easily accessible, and varied solutions to our shared clients is strengthened by Intel Foundry's cutting-edge technologies and silicon-verified IPs in manufacturing and advanced packaging," stated Vijay Guntur, President of Engineering and R&D Services at HCLTech. Guntur continued, "This will also give them more flexibility and choice in semiconductor sourcing."

For more than 30 years, HCLTech has collaborated with Intel. Through common products and combined investments covering silicon services, hardware engineering, telecom services, servers, and storage engineering, this relationship has evolved over time.

"We are excited to further strengthen our collaboration with HCLTech to foster a strong and open ecosystem that is approachable and beneficial for all clients needing advanced silicon solutions", according to Rahul Goyal, vice president and general manager of Intel Foundry's product and design ecosystem enablement.
