Slack Unveils GIF Finder for Easier Interactions

By Consultants Review Team Wednesday, 13 March 2024

Slack is one of the most popular communication solutions for organizations and teams. It removes the need to send emails or make phone calls for most tasks inside a team. The communication tool has now included a new GIF option to let coworkers have more fun while working. GIFs have grown in popularity for conveying emotion- and action-packed ideas and opinions, despite the fact that emojis have long dominated popularity statistics. Slack now allows you to exchange GIFs with your coworkers to make a point or two.

Slack officially announced the integration of GIFs into their platform via an X post. The GIF finding function allows users to choose the ideal GIF from a selection of possibilities. Slack's new GIF functionality is powered by Tenor, a Google-owned GIF search engine. It will provide users with millions of GIFs that they may use to convey their emotions and experiences. Slack X post stated,?Looking for a great GIF? We will help you discover it quickly. You may now pick GIFs directly from the message composer!?

Slack users will now be able to share GIFs more easily than they could before with the GIPHY functionality. To locate GIFs on Slack, enter a specific chat and click on the emoji symbol, which will bring up a new? GIFs? page. You can utilize the ones that appear in front of you or just search for the sentiment you wish to communicate. The new tool will allow users to browse thousands of GIFs using the integrated Google GIF search engine. The functionality is quite similar to other messaging applications like WhatsApp, which have built-in GIF features.

According to reports, the Slack GIF finder is now being rolled out and will be available on all platforms by the end of the month. As a result, if you don't already have it, the functionality will shortly appear in your Slack Message.
