By Consultants Review Team Friday, 12 January 2024

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), India's largest conglomerate, has initiated the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) program, aimed at recruiting graduate engineers across diverse business verticals, ranging from petrochemicals to new energy. This entry-level recruitment drive is designed to identify and nurture promising engineering talent for critical technical roles throughout the organization. The application process for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) 2024 program is being conducted online for the first time, allowing young engineers from all over India to participate. Registration for the program commenced on January 11 and will continue until January 19.

In a departure from the conventional campus recruitment approach, where companies typically visit a limited number of institutes, the online application process is intended to provide equal opportunities to engineering students across India. This move aims to democratize access to high-quality training and employment opportunities within Reliance, extending beyond the top-tier institutes to include students from smaller towns and institutes.

The GET program invites online applications from B.Tech and B.E. graduates of the 2024 batch, specializing in chemical, electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation engineering from AICTE-approved institutes. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online assessment, including a cognitive test and subject matter evaluation, scheduled between February 5 and 8. Personal interviews for the selected candidates will be conducted from February 23 to March 1, with final selections expected to conclude by the end of March.

Reliance is actively seeking graduate engineers for various business sectors, including oil-to-chemicals, oil and gas exploration and production, project management, petrochemicals procurement and contracting, and new energy.

The eligibility criteria include a minimum of 60% or a 6 CGPA across 10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), and a minimum aggregate of 60% or more in engineering up to the 7th semester/graduation. The eligible disciplines encompass chemical, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering. Reliance has established a dedicated website to provide detailed information on eligibility, the application process, and to facilitate online registrations, presenting an opportunity for aspiring professionals to contribute to the company's growth story through the GET program.
