Wipro, an IT services provider, said on Monday that it has teamed up with Nokia, a Finnish IT and telecom company, to offer 5G private wireless solutions to businesses. According to a release, this solution would enable businesses to establish a controlled, integrated private environment in which they can better manage performance and reduce security threats.

Joint private wireless solution with Nokia, according to Wipro, would "assist enterprises in scaling their digital transformation."

According to the statement, this collaborative solution will give businesses a 5G private wireless network solution that is more secure and integrated with their operational infrastructure. "The solution will bring greater reliability, mobility, connectivity speed, real-time access to business insights, and the ability to process high volumes of data with low latency," stated the statement.

Customers in the manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and sports entertainment sectors will be the first to get access to this AI-driven solution. Nokia will supply the Modular Private Wireless (MPW) and Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) technologies, while Wipro, through its Def-i Innovation Center, will supply market insights and strategic advice.

Vice President of Enterprise Campus Edge Solutions at Nokia, Stephan Litjens, stated, "This partnership will unlock new capabilities to help businesses in various sectors experience enhanced connectivity and AI-driven operational efficiencies, ushering them to the forefront of innovation." According to Jo Debecker, Global Head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, the collaboration will give businesses a means to use wireless private networks to quickly digitize and have access to real-time information to achieve their goals.
