Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has ascended to the position of the fourth richest person globally, surpassing Microsoft founder Bill Gates. This notable development follows a remarkable 22 percent surge in Meta's stock price, propelling Zuckerberg's wealth to an increase of over $28 billion. As per the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, his net worth now stands impressively at $170 billion, surpassing Bill Gates' net worth of $145 billion.

Zuckerberg's climb in the rankings places him behind only Bernard Arnault, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk in terms of global wealth. Adding to his financial success, Zuckerberg is poised to receive approximately $174 million in cash when Meta issues its inaugural dividend in March. With ownership of around 350 million Class A and B shares, all eligible for the dividend, Zuckerberg's annual earnings could exceed $690 million if Meta continues its 50-cent quarterly dividend.

Beyond financial milestones, Mark Zuckerberg recently celebrated Facebook's 20th anniversary through his WhatsApp Channels. In a shared video, Zuckerberg can be seen blowing out candles on cakes shaped like the number 20. Additionally, he curated a montage of his journey on Instagram, encapsulating the history of Facebook since its inception as a college-level social media platform.

The surge in Zuckerberg's wealth is attributed to Meta's robust stock performance, underlining the growing influence of the company in the tech industry. Meta, formerly Facebook, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of social media and technology. Zuckerberg's financial standing further underscores the dynamic nature of the technology sector, where fortunes can swiftly rise based on market dynamics and corporate performance.

This development not only marks a personal achievement for Zuckerberg but also signifies the enduring impact of Meta's ventures and the influential role it plays in the global economy. As the tech industry continues to evolve, Zuckerberg's position among the world's wealthiest individuals reflects the ongoing significance of digital platforms in shaping the business landscape.
