The Election Commission has instituted a number of procedures, such as the use of webcasting or CCTV cameras and the placement of micro observers at key polling places, in an effort to guarantee free, fair, and calm Lok Sabha elections. On election day, micro observers will be essential in keeping an eye on actions at key voting places.
Their main duty is to supervise the election procedure and guarantee its independence and integrity during the voting process. Micro observers are required to report any anomalies or occurrences that might affect the voting process. They will be in continuous touch with the general observer.
Micro observers will deliver comprehensive reports to the general observers in sealed envelopes once the vote is over. To guarantee fairness, micro observers at crucial booths will be deployed using a randomization procedure akin to that of poll workers.
On Tuesday at 5 p.m., in room 102 of the collectorate, there will be a media workshop led by district election officer and collector Ashish Singh. Pre-certification of political ads, sponsored news under poll code, and safety measures for printing presses during election season are just a few of the standards and regulations that will be covered at the workshop by the Election Commission of India.
