HCLTech and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have come together to boost the digital transformation of generative artificial intelligence-led enterprises, the Indian IT services firm said on May 6.

The tie-up will see the firms help develop generative artificial intelligence(GenAI)-led use cases, proofs of concept, tools and solutions, the statement said, adding a structural framework would be provided to enable customised solutions, the company said in an exchange filing.

The Indian IT services company HCLTech announced on May 6 that it has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the digital transformation of generative artificial intelligence-led businesses.

The companies' collaboration will involve the development of use cases, proofs of concept, tools and solutions driven by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). Additionally, a structural framework will be made available to facilitate the creation of customised solutions, the company stated in an exchange filing.

The newest development in artificial intelligence is generative AI, which uses historical data to create or generate new content - which could be text, images, or even computer code.

According to the announcement, the agreement would enable businesses across a variety of industries to use AWS GenAI services, including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Titan.

Through the agreement, clients will be able to comprehend the return on their investments and take use of HCL's whole technology stack, core engineering expertise, and AI knowledge.

By enabling them to transform business models, improve consumer experiences, and promote growth, this strategic collaboration agreement aims to assist businesses in realising the potential of artificial intelligence.

Prabhakar Appana, senior vice president and AWS worldwide Head, HCLTech, stated, "We are dedicated to speeding the widespread adoption of AI to our global client base as a premier partner with a diverse range of AWS competencies."

As a result of "complementing AWS's advanced GenAI portfolio with its own innovative GenAI solutions spanning various industries and enterprise functions," the Indian company was recently granted the designation of AWS Generative AI Competency Partner.
