Bengaluru is now home to Delta's new global research and development (R&D) center and India headquarters. Delta is a prominent global provider of power management and Internet of Things (IoT)-based green solutions. Up to 3,000 managerial, engineering, and research and development specialists may be accommodated in the 61,000 square meter, spacious complex situated in the Bommasandra Industrial Area. The aforementioned advancement highlights Delta's dedication to growing its business in the Indian market.
The company intends to add up to 750 R&D engineers over the course of the next three years in order to increase its capacity to develop high-voltage, energy-efficient power management solutions for industries such as data centers, telecommunications, energy storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and software solutions for the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. By recruiting more people, Delta will be better equipped to provide the growing demand for smart energy solutions in India and throughout the world.
"This R&D center showcases our forward-looking vision," said Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, in a statement regarding the unveiling. "It is intended to serve as a center for innovation, specializing in cutting-edge power electronics while upholding sustainability. We think that this facility will be essential to our expansion plan since it will enable us to better meet the changing demands of our clients."
Delta, which was founded in 1971 and is traded on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, is well-known for its proficiency in thermal management and switching power supply technologies. In India, Delta runs two R&D centers in Bengaluru and Gurgaon, as well as four production facilities in Rudrapur, Krishnagiri, and Gurgaon. In order to further strengthen its strong position in India, the corporation also has 14 regional offices there.
A state-of-the-art 480 square meter display showcasing Delta's most recent IoT-based green technologies is part of the Bengaluru headquarters. The building is powered by a 593kW solar PV system, which produces over 650,000 kWh of energy yearly with the help of 100kW PV inverters from Delta, which have an energy efficiency rating of up to 99%. Moreover, the building has a 300kW data center with a low power use effectiveness (PUE) of 1.4, which is the result of precise cooling technology and excellent UPS systems from Delta.
Delta Electronics India President Benjamin Lin continued, saying, "This new headquarters and research and development facility bolsters our capacities in India as well as our worldwide reach. This investment reflects our confidence in India's expanding technology industry and is consistent with our 'India for India' campaign, which encourages domestic innovation to cater to international markets."
