Accenture Acquires Allitix to Expand Anaplan Capabilities

By Consultants Review Team Wednesday, 06 November 2024

By acquiring the consulting firm Allitix, Accenture is expanding its Anaplan capabilities and gaining additional knowledge in supply chain, financial planning, financial analysis, and sales performance management.

In a statement announcing the sale on Monday, the consulting behemoth, which ranks first on CRN's 2024 Solution Provider 500, did not reveal the specifics of the transaction. SAP, Microsoft, and Google are among Accenture's more than 350 ecosystem partners and suppliers.

David Leckstein, senior managing director and lead of Americas Technology at Accenture, stated "Demand for connected enterprise planning is on the rise, given its ability to unlock business value and spur total enterprise reinvention. Our ability to deliver integrated enterprise planning transformations for our clients that drive better, faster insights and bottom-line value is further expanded by Allitix's highly skilled talent, deep domain expertise, and agile implementation approach, which complements our broader digital capabilities."

The Miami-based firm claims that Anaplan provides a partner program for consultancies, systems integrators, solution providers, and other business models. In 2022, Anaplan was acquired by Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm, for $10.7 billion.

According to the website of the massive solution provider, Accenture has been a partner of Anaplan for over eight years prior to the Allitix acquisition. Accenture's Anaplan practice today comprises more than 700 Anaplan-certified experts, more than 19 sectors supported, more than seven centers of excellence worldwide, and more than 1,500 programs delivered to date. Retail and telecommunications are among the industries that Accenture's Anaplan alliance serves.

Founded in 2017, Allitix is headquartered in Irvine, California. About 70 people work for the company, including over 60 technical and functional analysts for Anaplan.

In North America, the Allitix staff will join Accenture Technology.

"We are excited about the opportunity to join Accenture. In the statement, Allitix founder and managing partner Mark Ishikawa said, "This is a perfect fit because we share a vision for transforming the way organizations operate through connected planning."

"We can provide unmatched expertise, scale, and support to help our clients navigate complex planning environments and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market by combining Accenture's technology and consulting capabilities and global reach with our deep expertise in Anaplan," he said.

Allitix and Cloudera announced a new collaboration in August to expand Allitix's portfolio with more secure, open data lakehouse capabilities.

The acquisition of Allitix follows Accenture's October completion of the acquisitions of Tennessee-based supply chain consulting business Joshua Tree Group, Germany-based SAP consulting firm Camelot Management Consultants, and Germany-based health-care consultancy consus.health.

Accenture reported its fiscal year 2024 results in September, showing $64.9 billion in revenue, an increase of 1.2 percent from the previous year. Additionally, Accenture reported $7.42 billion in GAAP net income for the year.
