GMR Signs Agreement with Oman Airport Management Company to Offer Consultancy Services

Of late, GMR has announced an agreement with Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC) for providing training and consultancy services. The Bangalore-based Infrastructure Company’s subsidiary GMR Airport Developers Limited (GADL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OAMC. Within a short while, this agreement is Company’s another milestone project in abroad.

Srinivas Bommidala, chairman-airports at the GMR Group  said, “In line with our stated Asset light Asset right strategy, GMR has been engaging with and offering consultancy services to airport companies in the Middle East and South East Asia. We are honored that Oman Airport Management Company has signed a comprehensive MoU with GADL, aimed at knowledge sharing and skills development for the OAMC staff.”

As reported in MoU, GADL will offer a plethora of services which include program management, testing and commissioning of airport systems to the development of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams. Not only that, they will also provide on-site support for six months at Salalah Airport. Additionally, GMR Aviation Academy will undertake training for Salalah Airport.

The infrastructure conglomerate has accomplished a wide list of projects. Some of their successful   operating projects are: Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the Greenfield International airport in Hyderabad and GMR Mactan Cebu International Airport in The Philippines among many others. Talking about GMR’s aviation sector Srinivas said, “GMR Group is the world’s fourth largest private airport developer and possesses end to end capabilities in the airport space.”
